Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible quality I bought this air fryer after extensively researching the market. On it's first use, it did not stay on more than 30 seconds. Most frustratingly, the instruction manual does not have any information on what the cause may be when the screen beeps and flashes "- - -". There was no information available to try and remedy the problem. As it is un-usual for more than a 30 second burst of air, I am returning it and will purchase a more reliable brand.

Its perfect to fry your chips, fish fingers and various other items with very less oil and there are various other settings such as bake and grill etc. The air fryer basket is deep and so it’s perfect for cooking larger amounts of food. Its really simple to use and the screen is digital and easy to follow. It alerts you when your food is cooked which is very handy. It’s so versatile and a great kitchen gadget. The basket and divider are also easy to clean which is great. It’s a little on the big side so a good amount of work top space in the kitchen is necessary.

In the past I've always been a little sceptical about how good an air fryer could be as a substitute to a conventional deep fat fryer, but the Halo air fryer from Breville has totally changed my viewpoint. Straight out of the box this air fryer is simple to use, with a really user friendly interface that makes frying simple. Not only is it easy to use it's also very quiet and doesn't give off any strong odours that are usually associated with deep fat frying. I really love the design of this fryer, it's quite a big machine but it looks right at place in the kitchen. The basket is huge, meaning it's perfect for feeding the whole family, with the added bonus of a basket divider so you can cook multiple things at the same time. So far I've been completely blown away by how good this can make food taste, which is made even better by the minimal amount of oil it needs to function.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from a great air fryer, would highly recommend I am super happy with this product. It's an amazing air fryer and has improved my life. It cooks food much faster than my oven and it is cheaper to run. I got the 5.5litre compared to the 3.3 something litre draw because I thought the bigger one would be better for a family of 4 and I was right. At first, I thought it was too big but it's a perfect size. It has dividers so you can cook different foods at the same time which I love. It is easy to use and the simple black fits well in our kitchen. Everyone in the family loves it and gets excited when using it. It's very simple n saves time when it comes to cooking. Overall I am very happy with this air fryer and would recommend it to friends and family.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Easy to use and understand. I’ve been using this air fryer now for a few weeks. As an avid fan of air frying products I was pleasantly surprised by this device. It was smaller than my previous fryer and took up less work surface space which is a bonus. It has an easy to use and understand touch screen digital display which is less complicated than other brands. Also makes a beeping sound when complete. It is quite small and probably only suitable for two but it’s ideal for a portion of chips for the family for example. It looks good in its square design and also has a grill function which is a nice bonus. Add to this the basket and divider is dishwasher proof I would give five stars but gave four due to the small internal size.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from WELL IMPRESSED The unit is nicely proportioned and quite sleek with a simple glossy black finish. Bigger than I thought it wild be so need a decent size worktop to put it on. Once the internal tray is cleaned you can use it. Failure to insert the tray or basket may be a better term for it, properly and the unit won’t switch on. A nice safety touch Of course we tried chips first and it did a great job. Fluffy yet crispy with next to no oil. A worthy result compared to our oven baked in olive oil chips. Fish, meat, veg this air fryer is very versatile. It’s quick too and although I recommend a mat in front of it when you take the basket out as it’s hot! This is a fantastic unit, it works really well and provides quick and healthier results

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great addition to the kitchen I've had the Halo for a few weeks now and have used it a considerable amount of times. The unit has a few preset options but I find that I've been using the manual options in most cases. Setting the temperature and duration is very easy. One of the things I like most about this model is that there is no pre-heating required. Some of the foods I have cooked in the Halo include: chicken, garlic bread, halloumi, homemade bagels, crispy chickpeas, sausages, chips (fresh and from frozen), and broccoli and cauliflower. All have turned out very well and even better than results from a standard oven. Clean up is pretty easy - the basket is dishwasher safe but I have just been handwashing them which has been easy and no scrubbing required. I haven't come across many cons with the Halo. There is no volume control for the timer. It's audible if you are in the room but can be hard to hear if you are elsewhere in the house. It takes a few tries getting the temperature/duration correct, since it heats up quickly and has a strong fan food can cook quicker and depending how crispy you like your food you may need to adjust. It is also a big machine and does take up a considerable amount of counter space. It runs fairly quietly but I do sometime get a rattling noise from what I assume is the heating element shaking around. The Halo will definitely be handy during the summer months when it is too hot to run an oven as it doesn't expel heat the way a standard oven does. The family has enjoyed this new addition to the kitchen and we can't wait to try out even more recipes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So easy to use! The Breville air fryer is such a quick and convenient product, very easy to use and keep clean. It cooks the best chips ever! No more waiting for the oven to heat up to get your oven chips going, just put them in the basket, press the start button and off they go. Dry, crips and perfect when done. It is also good for cooking loads of other things, fish, fish fingers, chicken kievs etc etc. Just one draw back for me though, it is quite bulky so if space on your worktop is tight or you have limited storage then check how big it is before you buy.

I was so skeptical after hearing everyone rave about them as surely they aren’t that convenient but what takes 20-25 minutes in the oven takes 10 in this and so much healthier. I would never have a deep fat fryer so having this healthier option is amazing. It was simple to use and came with clear instructions and even a few recipes! Easy to clean. I have a small kitchen so it does take up a good portion of counter space but I feel like it’s worth it. Barely touched my oven since receiving.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Wow tasty and healthy Have had this for a few weeks now and I’ve heard lots about it. Some say it’s well worth it other say you can taste the difference. Well as for taste you could slightly taste that certain thing which you would normally fry lacked a crunch but when you know there’s no oil involved and the health benefits it’s worth the little sacrifice. Easy to uses, good size only con is it takes time so You need to be patient but that has its pluses too sometimes knowing your snack will take so long will stop you snacking hopefully.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A must for gluten free After looking at a variety of airfryers we bought this breville as the square basket gave more usable space. We are absolutely delighted and in the 10 weeks since purchase only used the main oven about twice . Gluten free can be hard to bake cakes and pastry . If the temp is not higher than normally say for cakes then the flours tend to elevate out during cooking and they sink forming a rubbery layer at the bottom. The higher temp also means dry products. I have found the air fryer appears to resolve this issue made all manner of sponge cakes pastry scones and three Christmas cakes. Just wish we had gone for bigger model or one with the steamer. The only draw back is lifting things out yet breville have not reduced any suitable accessories yet. Come on catch up,!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Game changer This air fryer is an absolute game changer, I am a busy working mum and trying to do everything and feed my children a healthy meal isn’t easy but this has completely change my life and stopped me having so much mum guilt, it is so easy to cook healthier meals in this and the food comes out perfectly cooked every time, I have cooked the usual fries in it that turn out nice and crispy on the outside and soft in the middle but I have also cooked marinaded chicken breast and they came out amazing and so juicy.

It cooks chips fantastic without all the fat. Great for my healthier diet. Ive cooked my daughters chicken nuggets and scampi in it and she loved it. Next I'm off to try a cake. This has met more than I ever expected and have let my colleagues know what a great kitchen asset it is proving to be. It is easy to clean and maintain and the instructions are straight forward.

Its big enough to feed the whole family and easy to clean which is a must , I was worried it would be complicated to use but its not at all , food cooks much faster also , our favourite is chicken and chips so far but have tried lots and not been disappointed yet , I love the touch screen and it looks great in my kitchen

Digital touch and you can choose your preferred settings. It cooks a large joint of meat or whole chicken. You can choose the time and temp settings. It is very easy to clean and you can put the basket and divider in the dishwasher. It is really easy to use and very quick . The food tasted amazing and you only use a small bit of oil.

It’s super easy to use, saves time and also means we don’t have to put the oven on. 5.5 litres is great for two people but wouldn’t work for a family unless roasting a chicken or joint of meat. Quite large on the work surface too so if space is a premium it may prove challenging removing the basket. Easy to clean and the basket can go in the dishwasher so a good choice if you’re in the market for an Airfryer.

I had a feeling that you can't get the crispness and taste which come from frying in oil by air fryer but this little genius product has proved ne wrong. Food is crispy, same taste and on top of that healthy too. So now I eat guilt free and few times over indulge as its healthy. Very happy to have it and I think its a must for foodies like me. Its very convenient to use and clean so that's a big plus. Healthy Days.

It is perfect size and so easy to use, with pre selected cooking times and customisable times! I’ve made chips, chicken and vegetables in this so far and they’ve all come out perfect and I wouldn’t make chips any other way now! It has no heating up time so it’s so much easier to use than an oven, I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a simple and healthy method of cooking.

The preset programmes are very clear and gives you the option to change the timings or temperature to suit your tastes. The digital display is straightforward and the touch is precise with a clear audible beep to indicate the selection. The food comes out excellent. It makes our wedges lovely and crispy with only a dash of oil and no part boiling needed. Makes things so much easier. The basket is easy to pull out and place in the fryer, it is dishwasher safe which is great. However the outer tray cannot be placed in the dishwasher and is a bit bulky in the washing up bowl, but it is non stick and cleans easily. The fans are quite loud, about the same noise level as a microwave, however if it means we get lovely crispy food and allows the air to circulate, it is definitely worth it!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Stopped working literally just after warranty I bought this air fryer last year and it is literally just out of its warranty. It suddenly stopped working. This was bought for my young son so we could heat his food quickly. I messaged Breville to inform them that this had happened and was told as it was out of warranty (just!) there was nothing to do except buy another from them…why on earth would I want to after this? I have zero trust in their products now and their customer services.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great fryer Really liked the air fryer, it's easy and quick to use. Although very big the fryer slotted well under my cabinets. I initially used sweet potatoes fries which turned out lovely. They needed a bit more than the recommended setting but worth a little bit longer wait. The fryer is really easy to use, simply plug it in and choose the type of food you would like to cook. The simple dials of increasing and reducing the time/temperature is simply pressing up or down. The images help you decide what type of food you are cooking. The fryer during cooking isnt as loud as I thought it would be. In fact you can hardly hear it. It does let off quite a bit of heat however its reaching some high temperatures. The basket for the food is huge and also can be divided easy by adding the divider. It was so easy to clean, I just wiped out any excess oil which had dripped through from the basket and there was no smear or stubborn marks. The basket and divider can be taken out and cleaned with usual hot soapy water/dishwasher. I would say the only downfall about the basket is there is a little button on the basket to eject it from the fryer. Its small and I feel like over time may come off. The instructions are clear and easy to understand but not many recipes to use so would recommend buying/searching on the internet for recipes/ideas. I'm so glad I have this fryer and will definately recommend it and be using it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing product Doesn’t take long to heat up and cooks food perfectly for two people. The timer is really useful and it doesn’t take up much space on the kitchen counter. Expect it to be quite smokey and smelly the first use - fill it with oil (takes exactly 2L) and let the heating elements burn for a few minutes before using it properly. Afterwards, it cooks with relatively little smoke. I find 170 degrees to be perfect for frying chips/fish etc.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Brilliant Did not expect it to cook the food better then the oven but it does has cool features like a touch screen and pre settings for stuff like chicken or potato products makes it easy to use and the non stick tray bit makes it easy to clean although it cooks things quicker then an typical electric oven also has a drip baskit inside so that the fat from Ur food can come away making it less fattening deffo would recommend!

As someone who is a terrible cook something like this makes everything quick and easier for me. I’ve air fried everything from crumpets to risotto to meat and fish and it all tastes even better than on the hob or oven. Even vegan food is so easy to make! I would absolutely recommend this, especially with its easy to use function display.

It makes a very nice loaf but be careful on your sizing . Trial and error has worked for me rather than other peoples recipes as they often seem a little far fetched regarding times temperatures and results . All in all it’s great and I use it daily

I don’t use my oven has as much anymore and my word it makes the food nicer. My only con with it, is the size of the machine. You need to have a decent space for the airfryer to fit. However I would recommend this and it’s so simple to use with the pre set buttons.

Great packaging and a great looking Air frier, it has a very modern look and a beautiful well made finish to it, everything about this product shouts quality. Nice easy to follow instructions and I love the preset modes for cooking different foods, very easy to use. Cooking times are something to keep an eye on as it is a 360 degree cooking unit so cooks much faster and more even than you expect. I love the versatility of this Air frier in the way that one moment you can be cooking great chips, then the next a Chicken or even a Cake! and all in the knowledge that it is being cooked in one of the healthiest ways possible. Now I have one I am not quite sure how I ever did without it before, this is for keeps and I would highly recommend this product.

It very easy to use and cooks faster than conventional oven and microwave. This appliance does not make noise and is very easy to clean, and I use it to cook most of my food.

It saves a lot of time as oven things actually take the time it says on the packet and it does not dry out my food. Usually when I cook oven chips I find I have to cook them longer than what the packet says and they are really dry. It is very easy to clean. Every kitchen should have one. I have already recommended to all my family and friends
