Rated 1 out of 5 by from Broke after a week! I bought this product from breville via Amazon directly and I'm highly disappointed. After a small amount of use the blender attachment is jammed on the bottle without anyway to get it off. It is not cross threaded or anything like that, it is just jammed. I have had 4 other bigger and burlier individuals attempt to screw the attachment off with no luck. I have even tried WD-40 to try and loosen it. Still no luck. The blade is stuck in one of the bottles, and the cost to replace a blade and bottle is almost as much as just getting a whole new set. Very unhappy customer.

I decided to treat myself to the Blend Active because it seems less cumbersome than dragging out the Kenwood every day to prepare my breakfast or lunch smoothies. So pleased with my purchase. The blender works very well, crushed ice like it said in the description (unlike some of the other brands). Would have given 5 stars however the unit is rather noisy. Otherwise it’s a perfect addition to my counter top - well done Breville!!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Good blender, Bad bottles I was recommended this blender over others by friends. The blender itself is great value for money and does the job. However after using it for only 2 weeks my bottles are mouldy under the seal which I can't remove. The worst part is, the bottles are so expensive, it will be cheaper to buy a new blender, which comes with 2 x 600ml bottles, than to purchase two new bottles. Very disappointed. Won't buy again.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent little blender I love this little blender. Super simple to setup and use. Put the fruit of your choice in one of the two bottles provided, screw the blade on, line up the arrows, twist and press the blend button, done! Sometimes it needs a shake to dislodge large pieces of fruit, but you could cut them down. Also, make sure the blade is screeed tight. One time my daughter didn't do this and when we unscrewed the bottle opened and blended fruit went everywhere. Really useful gadget to get your intake of fruit with loads of recipe options to take advantage of, including some in the provided manual.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from The bottles are utter rubbish Only had mine a couple of months and the catch on both bottles have snapped off. I've been in touch with Breville but unless I provide the receipt or label they won't replace them . Not sure about anyone else, but if I kept the receipts, labels and boxes for everything I'd bought, I'd need another shed to keep them all in. Breville, it's obviously a duff product, so do the decent thing before a child chokes on a bit of broken plastic and refund, recall or replace with something better. Would I recommend this to anyone...definitely not, not until they replace the bottles

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not as good as I'd hoped The blender states it crushes ice so frozen fruit should be an absolute breeze, unfortunately it really struggled with making frozen fruit smoothies. At one point the base started to smell like burning and still left my smoothie lumpy. Breville tend to be super reliable but this time not so much. The only bonus is its nice and compact so can easily be popped in a cupboard. The bottles are OK, not great and I certainly wouldn't recommend putting them in a bag, they leak at times. Bottles can be used in a dishwasher safely if you can get the blender working properly. Maybe I just got a faulty machine? I'll keep it for light blending work when I don't want to get out the food processor. But if you want nice iced smoothies , spend a bit more for a better one.

I love the modern link of this smoothie maker and it worked well for the first few weeks, the rubber seal kept falling out from day 1 and I had to keep pushing it back in by hand, which was quite time consuming. After 3 weeks, the whole thing leaked and I realised, yet again the seal had dissapeared, I found it in the sink but it had broken, so have had to take back as it can't be used.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Great until broken :( Used one for months without issues to blend protein, frozen fruit and milk.the plastic on the blade element became damaged and rendered the whole machine beyond repair. I purchased another unit (same but newer model) the bottles are lids are different. You cannot attach an old bottle to the new blade. The machine worked for around 3 days before it again became damaged. Returned for a full refund. if you are blending ice or frozen fruit it's good enough and the parts are too brittle. For fresh fruit and liquid you won't have any issues.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great kitchen gadget As the title suggests, this is a great addition to any gadget loving kitchen. It’s good looking, very simple to use and perhaps understated in its appearance, but functions flawlessly! The fact it comes with 2 bottles and lids is a bonus (having my wife and I, or the two kids!). The only thing I was a little surprised about were the recipe suggestions - I totally appreciate this may be geared to an active household (lots of recipes included protein supplements, for example), you missed a trick because some simple, tasty, “family friendly” suggestions for the kids, or to stave off the current heatwave would have been handy, even cocktails or mocktails perhaps for the summer? - but this doesn’t detract from the efficiency or capability of the product!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works brilliantly I have never used one of these, and wasn’t sure what to expect, thankfully though I have been pleasantly surprised. In the box you get the blender, blade, 2 lids and 2 large bottles. In the instructions is some recipes which are really helpful. I decided to make a smoothie using strawberry, raspberries, blueberries, yogurt and honey. Once ingredients are in you then put the blade on and turn upside down. There is an arrow on the side of the blade, you line this up with the one on the blender and turn until clicked in. Then you can blend. You have to hold the button down for it to blend, so you can do it as much as needed. Now what I came to realise afterwards is that you need to put enough stuff in to fill the bottle otherwise it doesn’t mix fully. I had to shake and re blend as I hadn’t put enough in the bottle. The smoothie was great though, it was mostly smooth, very few bits and tasted great. This is a fantastic blender, it has made such a difference to me as I am always busy, I can take it with me on the go. I am very impressed with it, its allowing me to be healthier and can be used by all the family. I would highly recommend it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointing This does not blend frozen fruit. I have tried it twice now and the first time it really struggled but after adding some oat milk it did crush the fruit. Today it’s completely melted the plastic from both the blender unit and the bottle lid. Really disappointing as I’ve only just started using it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from no more starbucks for me my grand daughter took me on a detour and walked into starbucks she had all in control until i got the bill for 2 large frapuccinno a bill of £9.?? had me thinking after a quick search online it was a simple ice milk and fruit blended with a few flavouring enhancers (such as powdered sugars and vanilla) this was the perfect model for me 2 beakers one ice crushing blender (please note a lot i looked at cant crush ice the weekend will tell when i take a load of natural fruits over and let them play around with it

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super efficient blender that's easy to clean I've used this blender about 15-20 times since I got it and it's really excellent. I've mainly used it to blend meal replacement powder, with the occasional fruit smoothie, but it's fully blended everything I've thrown at it within 10 seconds, and no lumps. I especially like the bottle design that comes with it – these make it especially easy to clean as the blending part is a separate attachment, that's rather simple in shape and can be cleaned in the sink quickly. Couldn't rate it highly enough!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Neat and Tidy A neat and tidy blender concept, ideal it comes with 2 bottles and lids for ease of use and sharing. Strong blades are great for ice crushing. Also works amazing on making milkshakes and protein shakes. Literally the only downfall for it is that when both bottles are in use there is no safety cap to put over the blade , it looks a bit sharp to be left on the blender on the worktop so it need to be put away - a cover for it would have made it much safer to avoid any accidents

I love it and it has played a big part in our healthy lifestyle - from whipping up "Banana Pancakes" in the mornings to delicious smoothies - couldn't recommend it enough.

Its so easy to use, place the bottle on to the blender, add your ingredients and away you go! The bottles have screw lids so I find them so useful and they are dishwasher safe. I have made smoothies and milkshakes and the fruit blends really quickly. The size of the bottle means I can save some smoothie in the fridge for later. I love this blender

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great! I have used this to make fruit smoothies, using frozen fruit and it blends it all effortlessly! Love the idea you can blend the drink within the bottle, few seconds of blending and your ready to go! The only thing that I wish it had was a button that you didn't have to hold down, this one you have to keep hold of the power button for it to blend. But I'd definitely recommend this, I've made soo many frozen fruit smoothies in this. Favourite kitchen staple right now!

Good quality design and bottles safe and effective. It is very safe too. Lots of little recipes to try in the booklet. I've really enjoyed using this and because its so easy to use I can use multiple times a day. Very easy to clean as well. Very good if you are busy and on the go as it takes no time at all. Highly recommend. You will love it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great blender, let down by bottles First the good part. The blender itself is compact and easy to use, and makes smoothies and shakes very quickly. Now the bad part. The bottom of the bottles does not fit in a standard car cup holder, the waisted shape of the bottle causes frozen fruit to get stuck in the bottom half of the bottle, missing the blades entirely. Finally, if you get anything on the bottle screw thread, the lid had a tendency to stick fast.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Was great to start with I purchased my first one and found this very easy to use. I loved that it was easy to clean and kids could use it. Sadly after about 4 weeks the spindle disintegrated. We took it back to where we purchased it and they eventually swapped it for a new one. Only had the replacement for a similar amount of time and the same thing has happened... Whilst I recommended this product to a friend, I wouldn't now.

I’ve always wanted one and I purchased one from Argos but found it even cheaper with breville months later (it was on sale) so bought it for my lady. It’s awesome for what it does and would recommend it. I didn’t need anything super fancy and complicated and this blend Active fits the criteria, it’s a great product get yourself one.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Everything fab but concerned I can't see BPA free I tried this blender for the first time today and loved it. I have been researching lots of blenders but had been put off by the BPA. The PRO version of this says BPA-free but not the version I have - but this wasn't clear until after I purchased it. I would like Breville to confirm ALL it's containers are BPA free then I can score it a 5. Otherwise this is misleading and I can't recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exactly what I wanted I brought this in order to make smoothies. It brilliant it does everything I need it to and all in a handy bottle. I was told that to cure my eczema I should try smoothies as a way to detox my liver so I got this and so far its worked... No eczema! And the amount of smoothies I've made in it I've definitely got my moneys worth plus I've lost weight so it was totally worth the money!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not compatable I bought this blender 1 year ago and whilst it was great, it began getting really hot so got another but very disappointed to see that bottles weren’t comparable despite only being bought 1 year apart. The changes to the fittings are minor so now left with excess unusable bottles. Quite irresponsible for a waste perspective, companies need to be more considerate of this

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Some of the parts could be more durable The blender was good to start with able to blend most items including frozen fruit, but this morning while making a smoothie the blender attachments gear burnt out, due to the fact of it being make of rubber and not a more durable plastic and I am struggling to find a replacement for this part. only had it for 3 months. The lids on both bottles broke after a couple of weeks

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Light enough to be transportable I was bought this blender as a birthday present last January to take to gym. I've used every day and sometimes twice a day since then. I've not had to change to blades even though I use nuts, ice and things like raw beetroot and carrots Value for money excellent. Machine still performing excellent and should I need to purchase new blades at £4.00 I would not be unhappy.

The blender is powerful and I take a protein smoothie to work every day. I love the way that there is no transfer of contents to another container, minimising the cleaning. I would recommend this to anyone at this price and I have bought two more for my student children.
